100g of fingering weight tweed, 75% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon and 10% nep yarn and approx 350m.
The subtle black, caramel and cream flecks (neps) have been spun into a 19.5 mic merino to produce a textured, tweed-like yarn. When dyed, the viscose neps resist the dye and remain their original colour. When worked up into a project, the yarn produces a rustic look due to the speckles of neutral colours provided by the lovely tweedy neps.
Nylon is included with the neps so that the yarn is as versatile and durable and it can be used for sweaters, scarves, shawls as well as more hard wearing items such as socks and gloves.
Dyed as shown.
It should be colour fast but I would recommend lukewarm hand washing.
