The magic…
Wool seems to mean so many different things to each of us, but I feel we are drawn to the grounding nature of spinning. The ‘me time’ aspect as it can’t be shared, that sense of creativity and calm, because you cannot spin if you’re angry or upset. It is intensely personal this act of creating a truly unique yarn and magic….
…Magic of the sunlight on a verdant green meadow being grazed by sheep growing the fleece that is bleached, baked, wind whipped and sodden. That comes into our hands full of that energy and vitality to become even more as yarn and yet more again as a garment. It will keep on giving.
That’s why yarn folk are so generous and warm hearted as we are custodians of happiness.
