A May Morning in yarn..
There is something ethereal about early May mornings. Perhaps it is the almost audible flush of growth after winters rest, the energy of the birds at song, or the warm breeze on your cheek. I eagerly await the carpets of bluebells each year, the excitement of seeing their shoots in early Feb after hiding all summer through to winter, snug under their copper carpet.
This is my attempt to capture the earthly delights of early spring in yarn. The blue skies and bluebells, that first new pale green, growing into darker shades. Autumns leaves in warm browns, through to bleached tones. New shoots, new life, renewed love for our beautiful land.
